In the Adbusteresque context of "Culture-Jammer" presentations and   seminars, the performance of GPSM (Global Positioning SadoMasochism) presents a fantastic scenario where the agents of WHY transmit evidence from their urban investigations in Rotterdam to the Illuminatus Igor Kempinski in their Vienna Hauptquartier. The audience was lured into a dark cellar, industrial drones emit from a candlelit portal, when a paranoid agent emerges from an adjacent   boiler room to connect a rather unconventional transdimensional portal. Via an amplified long-distance phone call to the other agent (who coincidentally actually was in Vienna at the time), GPSM develops a factional narrative through actual investigations innbetween diverse realms of knowledge in Rotterdam to "tell" of new terrains of intervention for culture-jammers and "reality-hackers" alike. A slideshow visualizes the transmitted dossiers of evidence which identify allegories such as the Gigant and Jan van Toezicht to represent the abstract urban dynamics/ discussions of the city's constant reconstruction complex and newly propagated desire for enhanced "safety".

Through a detournment from real places, people and situations, we were able to address issues such as the rapid and unprecedented shifts in city's identity (capital of culture, murder capital, Pim Fortuyn...) and the unharnessed potentials of the city's transition zones.
